Depending on the topic you write on and the type of business you are in, it may take somewhere between 20 to 100 or more articles to really see spectacular results and traffic to your website. Set a goal for how many articles you will write each week.

So why don’t more internet marketers write articles. I love to write articles as you can see from how many I have written in the last 8 weeks. When I write an article on a topic I try to research it and write good compelling content that gives the reader loads of information.

It is a good idea to write your article in a word processor such as Word and utilize the spell check feature. I find typos in just about every article I write but I proofread every one before submitting. All I can say to you is, learn this, write articles, and watch the clicks come in.

So how do I write articles that generate clicks. If nothing else, write about writer’s block. Why do you write articles.

I write about 5-10articles per week, and have found that there are a few things that I feel really help my clicks to go up.

When your mind is working like this there is no time for you to catch a case of writers block because if you do you just move to the next article and start writing that one. Many writers site down to write one article and focus all their energy on making that article as great as can be.

Have you ever had writers block? That’s the most common question that pop up from fellow writers looking to break into article marketing. I think that sometimes article writers add far more to their articles than is necessary, just because they think they need more words or more length to their article.

Below are several mistakes article writers make, and how you can correct them so you get more traffic and more sales from your articles. Many article writers start firing facts at the reader and doggedly go on in the same paragraph to advance the solution, without really building up the reader’s curiosity or expectations.

Ideas

The ideas it is generating may be too fleeting to make much impression at first, but if you listen for them, and make the effort to catch them, trust them, and use them, your intuition will gain strength and become an indispensable ally. Finding your way as a writer is largely a matter of developing confidence in your own ideas and learning to trust your own intuition. We may have no ideas at all, or ideas which fizzle out as soon as we try to develop them, or we may have become stuck in the middle of a piece of work and feel we cannot go on with it.

We might be able to get our ideas flowing again if we can find out what those feelings are and give them a chance to express themselves. Whatever the nature of the ideas you are working with it is essential to establish a sense of forward momentum right from the start, and to keep up the pressure all the way through. When choosing where to submit articles authors are now spoilt for choice. There are literally hundreds of article directories to chose from. Which one should you submit your articles to and why?

Many authors chose just one directory to submit their articles to. They have a favourite because of its format, size or layout. There are many advantages and disadvantages to submitting to different article directories.

The huge directories like ezine@rticles are a great place to submit your articles to in that the site gets a huge amount of traffic, is very well laid out and has a high credibility rating across the internet – proof of this is the number of people who choose to display their “featured on ezine@rticles” or ezine expert badges on their websites, although they are trading off traffic to the article directory they get in return the kudos of being considered as an expert and listen who should be trusted and listened to and this can result in a higher conversion rate in sales or join ups. The disadvantage of submitting to a large article directory is greater competition from other authors. However the general rule is the bigger the directory the more views your articles will get. Also the link rating of the directory may result in much higher search engine results. For example if you are an expert author on ezine@rticles and you type your name into google you will most likely come up as the top search return (great for the ego). The huge directories have a multitude of topics to submit to, however other directories have gone to the other extreme and limited their topics to a niche area, hoping to dominate a small section of the market. Sites like article garden takes articles on geared towards sustainable living, organic gardening, etc.

Smaller general article directories like article-gems have less competition and can result in a close relationship with the editor. It can also mean rapid article approval. It can also lead to a tighter sense of community and more comments on articles or authors replying to one another through articles. Hence you may see an article on one topic and very quickly get another article arguing the opposite point. This sort of interaction is not generally seen on the larger directories. It can also have other advantages in relation to RSS feeds and the like that you articles can be quickly disseminated with little competition from other authors. These smaller directories may also have easier submission guidelines or be more open to negotiation on content i.e. lower rejection rate. However these directories also tend to have lower visitor numbers than the huge directories.

Some article directories like articler offer authors a 50% split in Google revenue. This can be a nice additional income for the author and represents direct income from article writing. This does mean though that the directory operator has less money to advertise the directory and therefore your articles on the internet, which can be a disadvantage.

Some authors simply advise submit to as many article directories as you can. There are a couple of disadvantages to this. Very quickly you will learn that this can be a huge time consuming exercise. Also search engines tend to ignore duplicate content therefore your article may only come up once on a search. I would argue despite these considerations the more directories you can submit to the better – not every directory has the same traffic, nor do they all submit to the same RSS feeds, therefore ‘spread the love’ as it were. In order to overcome the time consumption aspect there are numerous programs downloadible over the internet which can greatly speed up the process. These once set up can mean you can summit your article to hundreds of directories at the simple click of a button, which leaves you more time to concentrate on writing the articles and can result in a huge increase in traffic to your site and a large number of backlinks.

To sum it all up, write quality keyword optimized articles in which you own exclusive rights to and submit to high quality article directories. Write as many articles as possible and if you are not able to pull it off have a quality ghostwriter do it for you. Read the author guidelines of each article directory that you want to submit to and keep doing it over and over again. It may seem to be repetitive and you may not see significant gains at first but if you are consistent article marketing will prove to be the best way to promote your web site and gain a lot of unique, targeted visitors.

Actually this is repeated by the thousands, especially if you submit the article to a couple of hundred high pr article directories. This is mostly done to build additional Adsense web pages and is income motivated. They are not stealing your article, only borrowing it on the condition that they leave your author’s information intact, and thus creating yet another back link. It is these thousands of back links that actually push your web page to the top of the search engines quickly. Seem like a lot of work? Use one of the popular article submitter applications.

Once your online home based business opportunity web page is on page one of the search engines it just becomes a matter of keeping it there. This is where regular article maintenance comes in. Monitor an article title’s back links by searching it in the search engines with quotes around it to find the total number of back links the one article is creating. Count the number of days it takes to reach it’s peak and start back down. That is when you will need to submit another article. Depending on the size of your niche market this could be daily, every few days, weekly, or even monthly.

With regular traffic you should start making some money from your online home based business opportunity. You don’t have to write all of these articles yourself.
